Vintage Kent acoustic Mandolin with case. Google says Kent was a distributor of imported instruments in the 60s/70s. This mandolin seems to be the 70s variety. I found some other Kent mandolins from around the same time with electronic components. This mandolin has NO electronics. Beautiful, and hard to find.
This mandolin is in a playable condition and sounds decent. It will probably need new strings and setup as well. I’m no expert but the nut looks like it’s cut very deep, and the bridge may be a little out of place. Please see pictures.
The tuners work fine, but could be replaced. Those plastic heads tend to snap when they get old, and there are some cracks already on the tuner bushing that goes through the headstock.
All of the repairs above would make this mandolin like new, but it plays fine as it is now. Some minor scratches and dings from being played. Great vintage sound!
