About This Listing

This is not a Japanese made guitar this was made at the Gretsch American  USA custom shop.  This is a replica of a transition model. The guitar has Bigsby & Filtertrons  but has engraved hump blocks  & vertical logo. Originally, in the 1950s, when the Penguin was equipped with filtertrons it usually got neo classic thumb print fret markers & a horizontal logo. This guitar is near mint. No marks or play wear. there is a slight fade to the gold parts. It has NOT been reliced. 100% original. Back of headstock signed by Stephen Stern 1 of 1. Dated 3-15-12. This guitar is great player & sounds great too! Just a fantastic collectable guitar. Comes with all tags. dust cloth & key chain in original case.  I have lowered the price to my rock bottom today 4/10.  At this time I have turned off offers because I wouldn't take less. Shipping is high because reverb charges protection based on guitar price so the higher priced the guitar the higher the shipping cost is.
