This is a vintage banjo from Japan that is a clone of the Gibson RB250 with embellished Rosewood finger board inlays of mother-of-pearl. Neck and Resonator are of Mahogany with a full thickness maple rim. Features 20 hole flat head aluminum tone ring, clam shell tail piece, geared planetary tuners, dual coordinator rods, and all chrome hardware. The action and tone of this instrument is amazing. The head was changed but the original head is included. There is some wear on the finger board at the second fret (pictured) from 40+ years of bluegrass playing and two blemishes on the back of the resonator (pictured), otherwise in excellent condition. Comes with hard shell case. If you want to own an RB250 without paying the more than $2000 these instruments go for then here is a great alternative.
