Up for sale is my Höfner Euroburst ‘62 violin bass. I’m the original owner, and bought it new in 2015 for about $3400. It’s wearing a rare Euroburst finish, and not many of these lefties are floating around. Includes original case with hygrometer and tweed-simulated pattern. This bass plays and sounds amazing, and is absolutely stunning.
In 2016, this axe suffered a headstock crack (it did NOT completely come off the neck), but has been expertly repaired by Carter Vintage in Nashville, and the site of the crack refinished and blended by Glaser Instruments in Nashville(see pic). Since then, the bass had remained structurally as good as new, and the crack was camouflaged better than I ever could’ve hoped for by the refinish process.
The playability of this bass has not suffered one bit from any of this, and I have kept this one busy ever since. I am only reluctantly selling to help throw some money at some home-related expenses. Currently this axe sports a set of LaBella Beatle Bass flats. I’m happy to provide more pix and info to the best of my ability. NO TRADES PLEASE. Thanks for looking!
