We took this amp completely apart, cleaned it, sprayed the pots & all contact points, and photographed it. Even the knobs were meticulously
cleaned. It is now ready to serve for its second lifetime.

This amp looks very good. The faceplate still bears the machine marks from when it was manufactured. Look at the tolex. It gleams. The only tolex damage is a few small nicks. There is rust on the chrome, expected for an amp of this vintage.
The tone is out of this world. 12 watts of Vintage Fender Tube
Tone. The Oxford speaker works perfectly in this amp. It sounds like it should, full and accurate, with just the right amount of breakup.

The rectifier is solid state, but it acts just like a tube rectifier and does a great job of handling attack, sag, bloom, feedback, and decay. It envelops and delivers the tone as it should be done. Fender chose good parts for this amp.

At home anywhere from bedroom to stadium, this amp could appear on any stage in the world and never raise an eyebrow. The tone is that good.
This could rightly give any Princeton a run for its money. In a blind test one would be hard pressed to tell the difference, the tone and power are there.

The output transformer is rated at 8 ohms, but this chassis could be used to drive any speaker or outboard cabinet. You might be surprised, but
it will drive a 1x10, 1x12, 2x10, 2x12, or even a 4x12. The output transformer is stout and drives hard reliably.
Put an overdrive in front of it and you'll need to prepare yourself -- its real loud. Like, annoy the neighbors loud. You'll shake your head in disbelief that its 12 watts. Driving an outboard cabinet this chassis can walk all over any 25-30 watt tube amp and outshine it with superior tone and power, and it would take more than 40 solid state watts to overcome it with volume alone. But we know solid state can't touch this kind of tone.

Warm, round, fat, responsive, natural, organic. These are all good descriptions of how this amp sounds. One try and you'll know why transistors will never overcome the technology of vacuum tubes, and why printed circuit boards can't replace hand-wired circuits. This is the stuff legends are made of.

Get your piece of Fender history in this unique package, one that will wow everyone within earshot, even you.

NOTE: If you want a world-class rig, pair this with the Fender Champ or Vibro Champ. We can bundle them for savings. Check it out. These two together will give you the best tone you have
ever heard.
