Up for sale is a 1979's Vintage Tokai Stratocaster model guitar “Silver Star”. This is a very nice example of the copy that was better than the original. A real "Lawsuit" era. Sound is excellent. Features a VERY nice Naturally AGED Maple Neck with Beautiful Flame(see photos!), a Sen Ash body in 3 tone sunburst finish (Thin finish, unlike the Fenders of the era which were invariably coated in a thick tone-killing polyester skin. The original finish is also naturally aged.).
Almost 40 years passed since new but it's with good playing condition with a straight neck. All the electronics are the original including the pickups. It has a 5way switch just like a Fender's. Sounds and plays great.
The body has several amount of small dings and dents on the side, a couple of dents near the back contour, a few dings and scratches on the backside. The top of the body has a few small dings but the top is clean compared with the other part. The beautiful flamed neck has a small clearcoat peeling near the "T" of the "Tokai" logo on the front of the headstock, but otherwise very clean neck with only very minor dings. The back of the neck smooth. The metal hardware is a little tarnished but I thing it's in good condition for its age.
The neck is Straight (no hump/ no warped). The action is low (1.8mm/2.2mm@12th fret). The original frets are around 60-70% and have some wear but No deep grooves(No dead-spots). The fretboard has a finish crack at the 10th fret position but it doesn't affect for playing. The weight of the guitar is 3.3kg(7.27lbs). The tremoro arm is missing.
No case included, but will be correctly packed for shipment.
