The Zendrive Red Special Edition is basically a higher gain version of the original Zen Drive circuit which was originally designed by Alfonso Hermida.. The Zendrive Red Special Edition is alledgedly based on a higher gain circuit also designed by Alfonso Hermida, built by Lovepedal and sold exclusively through Guitar Center... The pedal produces a warm overdriven tone reminicent of a Dumble style amplifier that is great for thickening up single coil pick ups or adding juicy girth to lead tones.. Control wise the Zendrive Red boasts the traditional volume, gain and tone knobs, but takes things to the next level by adding a voice control that affects the mid frequencies and helps tailor the tone to whatever amplifier you might be playing through..
