Hello, for sale is a 1962 Blonde Showman head circuit 6G14-A. The cabinet had no tolex on it when I received it so I had it professionally covered by Will Dykes at Armadillo Amp works in the original rough blonde and maroon grill and he did a beautiful job, The back panel was also broken so I had him make a new one(the original will be included with the amp). The amp was also missing the all of the knobs so it now has new reproduction Fender radio knobs. The chassis was missing the power cord but everything else was original except for one 470 ohm power tube screen resistor. This amp, as does any amp of this age, needed the electrolytic capacitors replaced. I repair amps professionally, so I completely serviced the amplifier. The original filter capacitors per Fender's schematic are rated at 600v but modern caps of that voltage will not fit on the filter board so I slightly modified the first filters to two 100uf/350v in series with 200k bleeder resistors. The voltage sitting on those caps in stand by mode is over 500v so I feel justified in doing that. Please look at the photos. The faceplate is in good shape but there are a few dings by the pilot light. Also a couple dings in the back corners of the chassis. The amp has old Sylvania preamp tubes and a rather mismatched but functional quad of vintage 5881 power tubes. The amp sounds great and has that cool Univibe sounding harmonic shift tremolo. I have recently lowered the price to as low as I want to go and I think it is a fair price. Please, I do not wish to do any kind of trading as I am trying to raise some cash. Thanks.
