Here is something you don’t see very often. A Ralph Novak fan fret strat electric guitar. These are pretty rare and his body style is quite different these days. He is best know for building the Charlie Hunter 8 string guitar but lots of players using his guitar these days. Not sure of the exact year but I would guess mid 90’s, when he built in San Francisco (he is now is located in Portland.) His guitars are extremely well built as it feels like what it is, a handmade custom guitar. The guitar plays like a dream. Nicely broken in feel. Why buy a vintage fender for crazy money when you can get a hand made guitar for a third of the price. The thought of fan frets scared me but in reality it took no time for me to get used to them. Perfect intonation up the neck and a lovely clarity between notes. This one has a Bartonlini pickup with a 5 way selector switch for split coil bridge/middle and middle neck configurations. You can get just about any tone you like on this guitar. Rosewood board and an Ash body. The guitar has been played as you would expect given its age. So very good plus condition with dings and scratches but no cracks, or repairs . A little static when I switch between pickup options. Probably needs a cleaning . Otherwise no issues. Comes with skb hard case.
