This is one of my newest custom made Waterslide Coodercaster guitars and it's all "Made in the USA". As with all of my builds, if you like this guitar but would prefer a different neck, pickguard, pickups, etc, just send me a message and we'll see what we can do.
This Coodercaster features a beautiful Daphne Blue Nitro Lacquer finish on an Alder body that's been aged and relic'd. The whole guitar weighs in at 8lbs 2oz total so it's a nice light weight for a Coodercaster with tons of sustain, great balance & no neck dive.
The Maple neck has a Rosewood fretboard with a nice Medium C profile ( .85" - .93") with a 25.5" scale length that's 1 11/16" at the bone nut with a 9.5" radius and 6105 frets. It has a light, slightly tinted satin finish that feels great and will not get sticky when playing.
The bridge pickup is a Mojo UK 'Valco-Style' Lap Steel Pickup which is very fat sounding with tons of sustain and punch. These are uniquely sensitive pickups which nail the vintage character and tone of the original design. Primarily used by slide players like Ry Cooder, Jason Isbell and Blake Mills, these Lap Steel pickups have a special magic with open tunings and bottleneck playing.
The neck pickup is a vintage Teisco Gold Foil from the 60's. It holds its own with the Lap Steel pickup with a sweet top end and clarity that provides a nice complement, tonally.
The Strat tremolo is by Kluson with a Steel Block and stainless steel saddles.
There's also CTS audio taper pots, a 3-way Oak Grigsby switch, Sprague Orange Drop and cloth covered wiring. The Tortoise pickgurad and vintage-style radio knobs tie it all together.
Great parts and great care go into these guitars and this one comes in a hardshell case for $1,399 + shipping. Please email me for international shipping rates.
I also take custom orders, check out my website Waterslideguitars.com. If you like to custom order a Coodercaster to your specs, I have a listing for that on Reverb here:
Demo video was recorded straight into GarageBand so no amps or pedals were used.
