Here is a very nice Goya G-10 Classical/Folk Guitar made in Sweden in 1965. It features a Solid Spruce Top, Solid Birch Sides and Back, Mahogany Neck, and Rosewood Fretboard and Bridge. It is in Very Good condition, especially considering it is 54 yrs old!
Ok here comes the Fun Stuff! This is the same model guitar as featured in the Epic Drama that is “The Sound of Music”! Never mind that the film was supposed to take place in 1939! Details Details. Maybe it was just excellent product placement on Goya’s part! So if you are into community theatre, or just a huge Julie Andrews fan this is the guitar for you.
More Fun Stuff! Rumor has it that 7 yr old Yngwie Malmsteen saw Jimmy Hendrix on the Swedish TV in 1970 and knew he wanted to be a rock star- But what they never mention is that directly after Jimi was on Young Yngwie watched a rerun of “The Sound Of Music” and was Equally inspired by the Goya-wielding Christopher Plummer, and Julie Andrews. I believe this perhaps sparked his interest in Classical Style Guitar.
This guitar includes the original chipboard case- structurally sound though cosmetically a little rough. It has kept this guitar pretty safe over its yrs. It will be packed very well for shipping
