Selling my Kendrick 2410 to help pay for some extensive dental work.
This amp sounds and 'feels' as good as you think it should, with plenty of gain when opened up, but cleans up beautifully just by rolling off your volume. Very low noise floor, yet capable of holding its own with a loud band (Drummer:) without losing its detail and character. Gerald, has done a great job updating the '59 Bassman, while honoring what makes those amps so cherished.
I got the amp with all JJ tubes and have replaced the 1st preamp tube with an older GT 7025 and the power tubes with a very well matched pair of Realistic 6L6GC (From Britain (likely Mullards) biased using the cathode resistor method) that come from my collection of vintage tubes. I will include the original JJs for $50, or sell it with just the JJs for $200 less (biased to your specs).
Right now the tubes (from L to R, looking from the back) are at 462.6 and 462.4 volts dc, on the plates, drawing 45.1 and 45.0 ma of bias current, and a plate dissipation of 20.86 and 20.80.
It has a bit of wear to one side of the handle, but Mint everywhere else.
Priced fairly, and only needing cash (no trades), serious inquiries only. Thanks.
Weighs about 48 lbs and have the original double box I received it in and including a Fender vinyl cover.
I believe you can still buy one new from Kendrick, (sadly, we lost Gerald about a year ago)but with added cost and build time, or come play this amp for yourself...I doubt you will be disappointed.
Please get in touch with any questions and, thanks for looking.
Asking $2,700, cash only.
Peace, Billy

Go with me to 1989 when I was the first person to duplicate a hand-wired point to point Bassman style amp. Honestly, I really didn’t fully understand all the anomalies of the Bassman circuit back then. I just built them as close to the original as I could and it was a hit. Call it beginners luck.
But while making and testing several thousand of them and also overhauling several hundred original 5F6A Bassmans over the last 25 years, I learned much about the design that few others will ever know. Stuff that you could only learn by getting “up close and intimate” with the design. It was 10 years before I learned about the importance of using antique pine to make the amp sound and feel like an original Bassman. Resonant wood does indeed matter.
A few months ago, I made a small batch of replica Bassman relics and I incorporated everything I had learned in the last 25 years about that design. I put all the grounds in the right places and shortened all the grid wires. I changed the lead dress to take about 3 feet of wire out of the amp. In used shielded wire on the preamp grids. I used 100 year old antique Northern White pine, for its superior resonance, to make the cabinets. And I made the speakers from NOS Donal Kapi 92 lb 3KSP paper cones. These were the original cones used in the speakers of the original Bassman. We used dead nut original paper-bobbin output transformers and the amp is wired with our custom-made cloth covered wire and custom made electrolytic capacitors. Nothing was left to chance.
The result was the most musical sounding 4X10 Bassman ever made. I would put it against any original and it would win. It would sound and feel the same, but it would have improved stability, low noise, the absence of hum, and an extra 56 years of life. And of course the low low price. It would compare sonically to a $7,000 5F6A.
But what do I mean by musical when I say it is the most musical sounding amp?
It is all in the way the amp feels. Think of riding a Harley, or driving a Porsche 911 or riding a spirited horse. There is feeling of power but a feeling of being connected. The Kendrick 2410 responds to your pick attack, almost as if it is reading your mind. Pick soft and you get that bell-tone clear Fendery tone that everyone loves to hear. But bear down slightly on the pick attack and you get a little compression with some hair around the edges with a blossoming of sustain. Then lay into it with your pick and she will do the violin-cello type of overdrive that all pedal makers try to strive for. You don’t need a pedal with this amp. And I can promise you that it will alter the way you play. You will find yourself playing slower and enjoying it more. You will have a hard time stopping playing this amp because after a few minutes with it, you will be hooked. Altering your attack, you can go from clean to moderate to overdrive just by changing your picking nuance. Try doing that with other amps! You don’t have to take my word for it. Just look what other have to say:
My 2410 arrived with beautiful, and impeccable craftsmanship. I dare to say it sounds better than the original 59 bassman with a little more power. Very touch sensitive, goes from clean chime to loud breakup using only pick attack. All at an affordable price.
My Kendrick 2410 is built like a tank : no buzz, no hum,.. just the soul of your guitar and fingers goes out of its speakers. It waits to respond to each of your chords and licks on the spot. I feel secure and supported at any volume. It looks like all Gerald’s amp training courses are inside. Who can ask for more ? Thanks again and again.
