Welcome to Musicdungeon. This is the '13 Fender MIJ '66 Jazz Bass Guitar. 34" scale length. 1.50" nut width. 9.3 lbs. This is limited edition- just over 130 of these beauties came to the USA.  In 1966, the Jazz bass underwent some important aesthetic changes, block inlays & bound fingerboard, turning it into the bass we identify as a 'Jazz'. Fender recently honored the '66 with this limited edition Japan example. Starting off with an alder body- this bass has a very balanced natural tone. The weight adds in a nice high end midrange push- the notes on here are very defined. Dual Vintage Jazz Fender pickups grab the natural tone and add in the famous 60's sound. From bridge position growl to middle position warmth, it's all in here. Dual volumes and a shared tone allow you to dial everything in exactly how you want it. The maple neck here is spec'd to 60's as well- just .85" deep at the 5th fret with a C profile. A vintage tone and feel. The look here is gorgeous- Aged Olympic White finish, matching headstock, tortoise pickguard, bound fingerboard, block inlays, and chrome hardware. This Jazz is in exceptional condition- nothing to report. The frets are clean- set up with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret. This is your chance to get your hands on a great reissue Jazz example. We have been an authorized Fender dealer for the better part of a decade. Buy with confidence. The '66 Ltd Ed Jazz sells for over $1199 new.
