Up for grab a Japanese pre-lawsuit '68 Strat replica, Fantom Speedstar, model FS-531W, made by Kanda Shokai on Matsumoku factory, mid-seventies. The guitar is absolutely similar to the Greco or Westminster Stratocasters produced at the same time.
This guitar is in very good condition, as shown on photos. There are some lacquer cracks on the body as well as tiny hairline scratches and small dings. I have to say, that it DOESN'T made of veneer like the most Matsumoku guitars of the time were — real wood for sure (1-3 pieces, I guess). The neck is made of maple with rosewood fingerboard and it is in very good condition, frets are still having almost 100% of its life. The guitar is all-original and missing only a tremolo arm. Guitar plays and feels very well – really fall in love with its twangy sound! The quality of this guitar is high, and I am not exaggerating.
Features:
• Alder body • Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard • Set of Maxon pickups • 25,5-inch scale
