Pearl Les Paul Custom 70er Tobacco Burst

Eine Les Paul von Pearl ca. 45 Jahre alt !

Es ist KEINE GIBSON, sondern eine Kopie von dem renomierten Schlagzeug-Hersteller PEARL, der sich in den 1970er Jahren eine Zeit lang im Gitarrenbau versuchte. Sie ist eine Prototyp ohne Serial Number ca. 1970-1973 gebaut und damit "made in Japan" (verleimter Hals und doppeltes Binding) ... damals waren diese Kopien noch möglich, danach hat sich Gibson vor Gericht durchgesetzt und es wurde verboten.

Man weiß heute, dass dabei sehr gute Instrumente herausgekommen sind, die teilweise sogar besser als die Originale waren.
Diese hier ist, nach der Information eines Kenners der Pearl Gitarren, das Top Model. Zu vergleichen ist sie mit den Custom Modellen von Gibson ... beste Verarbeitung, beste Materialien, absolut schönes Finish und sehr nahe am Original.
Ein Körper ohne Kammer, Korpus/Hals Mahagoni, Griffbrett Palisander mit geleimtem Hals und einem wunderschönen Finish in Tobacco Burst und doppeltem Binding. Sie ist mittlerweile sehr selten und in einem sehr guten Zustand. Vom Aufbau entspricht sie der "Budokan", die "Budokan" wurde von ACE Frehley (KISS) gespielt und sie klingt auch so denn ich habe die gleichen Pickups verbaut.
Der Hals entspricht einem "Slim Taper Neck", die Bünde sind flach mit sehr wenig Verschleiß!

Die Elektronik der Gitarre wurde komplett ersetzt wie auch alle anderen Teile, siehe Liste. Für einen ordentlichen Sound habe ich die Originalen "Gibson  PCAP-059 Bumble Bee Capacitors" verbaut.
Die Gitarre ist oktavrein und wie man auf den Bildern sieht sehr gut abgerichtet (1A Saitenlage auf dem ganzen Fretboard ... die Schaller Rolerbridge macht das möglich) und lässt sich sehr gut spielen.
Sie hateinige Gebrauchsspuren, also Kratzer (Gürtelschnalle auf der Rückseite), keine Dellen, keine Risse / Brüche, aber bei dem Alter auch verständlich, heute nennt man das "Aged" oder "Road Worn".
Der Sound ist gut für Blues, Rock und Metall.

A Les Paul from Pearl about 45 years old !

It is NOT a GIBSON, but a copy from the renowned drum kit manufacturer PEARL, who tried to make guitar for a while in the 1970s. It is a prototype without serial number built around 1970-1973 and therefore "made in Japan" (glued neck and double binding) ... at that time these copies were still possible, after that Gibson prevailed in court and it was banned.

Today we know that the result is very good instruments, some of which were even better than the originals. According to an expert on Pearl guitars, this one is the top model. It can be compared with the custom models from Gibson ... best workmanship, best materials, absolutely beautiful finish and very close to the original.
A body without a chamber, body / neck mahogany, rosewood fingerboard with a glued neck and a beautiful finish in tobacco burst and double binding. It is now very rare and in very good condition. In terms of structure, it corresponds to the "Budokan", the "Budokan" was played by ACE Frehley (KISS) and it also sounds like that because I installed the same pickups. The neck corresponds to a "Slim Taper Neck", the frets are flat with very little wear!

The electronics of the guitar have been completely replaced as well as all other parts, see list. For a decent sound I built in the original "Gibson PCAP-059 Bumble Bee Capacitors". The guitar is octave-pure and, as you can see in the pictures, very well trained (1A string position on the whole fretboard ... the Schaller Rolerbridge makes this possible) and can be played very well. It has some signs of use, i.e. scratches (belt buckle on the back), no dents, no cracks / breaks, but understandable given its age, today it is called "Aged" or "Road Worn".

The sound is good for blues, rock and metal.
