About This Listing

About five years ago, I bought this lovely instrument from TJ at Cricket Fiddle. Since then, it has sat virtually unused, which is nearly criminal. For now, I have other priorities, so unfortunately for me, this one has to go.

It's tuned CGDAE, which gives you the flexibility of mandolin and a mandola in the same instrument. After getting it, I had a K&K twin spot pickup professionally installed as well. Acoustically, has a deep resonant sound but will still cut through at your local session, as I can attest.

Here are the specs, per TJ:

Scale length from nut to bridge is 16 inches.
Nut width is 1 3/4 inches.
Ebony fretboard
Birdseye maple neck
Redwood top
Back and sides are highly figured maple, as is the peghead.

It has a big funky coffin-shaped case which Tom built for me, and over which you could back a truck. I also bought a small gig bag, and I'll include both.

om's basic mandolins start at $1800, and he's not currently building this model. This one, with the after-market pickup, is priced to sell at $1750 plus shipping of your choice.
