ELECTRA 2236 Flying Wedge aka James Hetfield’s Flying V Metallica

This is a perfect project guitar for a Metallica fan! ELECTRA 2236 Flying Wedge made by Matsumoku Factory in Japan. (1977 to 1980)
Cherry mahogany bolt neck Gibson Flying Vee copy, rosewood fingerboard, chrome hardware. James Hetfield of Metallica  painted his Cherry Mahogany Electra with a white lacquer spray. Used throughout his career.
Cosmetically shows its age.  Scratches and dents and extra holes drilled for the strap-lock.  The Bridge pickup is Non-Functional.  Everything else on the guitar works great.

KILL EM ALL – RIDE THE LIGHTNING James Hetfield’s main guitar (only guitar) for recording and touring "Metal Massacre" and "Kill em All" was a white Flying V COPY by Electra.
DEATH MAGNETIC Several years ago before recording Death Magnetic, James had this guitar brought back from the dead. It underwent a full tuneup by Gary Brawer of lt Brawer Guitar Repair and brought up to current Metallica specs, including the addition of EMG 81 and 60 pickups. It was used quite heavily during the recording of Death Magnetic.
