DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a sweet-sounding and rare Pre CBS 1960 Fender Vibrasonic 1×15 combo amplifier in its original brown tolex. The Vibrasonic was the first Fender amplifier to receive brown tolex and I must say this example sounds wonderful. What also makes this amp special is the center volume location on the faceplate of the amp. This amp has been serviced and has a handful of modifications as follows: The grill cloth was replaced at some point and at the same time it looks like some of the wood inside the cabinet was also replaced. The brown tolex is original and it is our belief that it was partially removed and painstakingly put back on, primarily on the sides of the cab. The tube chart is missing and the speaker was replaced with an era-correct JBL D130. The output transformer has also been replaced, however, the power transformer and choke are original. The handle has been replaced but the original is included and is fragile. The Pulse ADJ has been installed that controls the tone shape on both channels. This amp has been serviced in the last 10 years and sounds wonderful. Cool and rare vintage Fender.
