Alessandro English with BG/S/R upgrades Curly Maple Head with Matching Speaker

Custom Alessandro English and open back 1*12 speaker, in matching curly maple cabinets. You won't see many of these amps at all, and very few in curly maple.

"A 20 Watt, 4xEL84 based amp for studio, home, and gigging. This amp has an extremely dynamic tonal range that covers Rock and Blues all the way to Country music.  Utilizing the EL84’s voicing, this amp delivers that classic jangle and shimmer when clean and a high-end harmonic overdrive when distorted. "

This amp was custom made for the guy I got it from by George himself. Options include: Silver plated chassis, FPS solid silver wire, black gate caps, esoteric tube option, and the beautiful curly maple cabinet. I don’t remember the prices for the individual options but the base price on this amp was around $2400. I do remember the esoteric tubes cost an additional $1000 and the FPS solid silver wire was about $500. The black gates and curly maple options brought the total to just under $5000.  

The amp is loaded with 2 matched USA made Phillips JAN 5691 pre-amp tubes and 4 matched german Amperex 7320 power tubes, the sonic quality is incomparable. You can see the patina all over the chassis that has developed on the silver plating. Despite the time i've owned this amp, the tubes are barely broken in.  

The cabinet is an open back 1X12 in matching curly maple, loaded with a Custom 8 ohm Celestion G12 Century. The Original cost for this cabinet was about $1500.
