The RJ has come into the Kopp Shop with a bang. This little blues
monster doesn’t stop at old time delta blues, it will follow you
anywhere. Tones are punchy, articulate, and full sounding. One could
call it a small bodied K-200. Maybe a K1. All we know is that this
guitar is oozing voodoo. It started out with a body design that has
some serious history over the years. Kept the build light and
comfortable: thin scalloped braces to add strength and character of
tone, and a super thin finish to round it out. Overall, this guitar
treads with much more than is expected from its size. The RJ is here to
stay!
Gritty tone that lends to a solid treble and a bass that
bounces. It has good sustain with a woody harmonic finish. What the
bottom end lacks in resonance due to its size, it makes up for with
exceptional balance and lasting clarity.
