Atom by Antumbra is a micro clone of Elements, a full-voice synthesizer module by Mutable Instruments based on modal synthesis. the left half comprises a complex exciter while the right half defines a resonator (to be excited by the left half). select from any mix of bowed, blown or struck excitation modes, complete with definable envelope (bowed/blown only), air-flow and mallet structure. next, define the geometry, brightness, damping, position, space and pitch of the resonant structure to be excited. finally, feed Atom a gate or trigger (or press/hold the play button) to excite the resonator. additional features include external inputs for both halves of the module as well as dual outputs which can function independently for each half or mix to create a stereo output using the space control. prepare yourself to explore a rich world of modeled synthesis in a compact package with Atom!
