FACTS: Ok, let's be real here, this is an SX Liquid, a brand not known for quality electrics and with no snob or collector's value whatsoever.
BUT if you want to play a guitar that sounds great and makes people say "What is that thing? It looks awesome!" then this is for you. It's not available for sale in Australia so you'll be unlikely to see another one. I showed it to Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top and he called it 'a groovy shape'.
HARDWARE: Two P90(esque) pickups, one volume, one tone control. The bridge is nice and crisp and the neck is smooth as silk, except it's not as soft so don't go blowing your nose on it.
Fender style trem with roller bridge for those Surf bends.
BODY & NECK: Basswood body finished in vintage sunburst. 22 fret Maple neck with a rosewood fretboard and a great satin finish for all you Fender lovers out there.
CONDITION: Well it's ALMOST like new. The trem arm is a bit wibbly-wobbly from time to time but that's fixed easily enough. I did say ALMOST like new.
WOULD SUIT: Ideal for Rock, Blues, Surf, Jazz. Almost anything but I wouldn't give it to James Hetfield any time soon.
PRICE: Now, Guitar Centre at the Gabba sold one of these recently (another one of mine which I had sold to someone else) for $470. Believe me when I tell you it's NOT WORTH THAT MUCH! $350 is my price but I'm looking for a quick sale to fund another guitar so if you can pick up quickly enough, I will be happy to negotiate.
