This is a beautiful example of an early post-war Gibson ES-150.  I love the gold script logo that is just like the war era "banner" Gibsons.  That logo was only seen for a very short time after WW2 and really makes a guitar like this stand out.

The playability is superb, and the bridge still has room for adjustment, both up and down.  The original P90 sounds beautiful, delivering the classic tone one would expect.   All parts on the guitar appear original, except for the replacement tuners.  The original tuners are included, but have decayed buttons which is a common issue on many guitars from this era.  The pickguard and bracket are also included.  The pickguard could probably be restored, as the main body of the guard appears to be pretty well intact, but some of the supporting parts have degraded and would need to be replaced.  If the buyer is interested, I believe I have a set of correct original tuners that I would also sell.

The finish shows some checking, but no more than average for an archtop of this era.  There is a hole for a strap button drilled into the bass side of the neck heel A few small, scattered dings are present, but the guitar easily rates as very good overall.  One thing to note is that the fingerboard appears to have had a light lacquer finish applied at some point in the past which has no effect on playability.

Lifton hardshell case pictured is included.
