The Warwick Alien bass fills the gap between the double bass and the electric bass. It provides a wealth of new opportunities for expression and adds an extra dimension to the musician's domain. Unusual styling in the convenient cutaway and the off-center asymmetric soundhole add to the uniqueness of the overall shape and warm tones of this acoustic bass. The top and body of the Warwick Rockbass Alien bass are both laminated for increased durability in stage use.

Equipped with the Fishman Sonicore and Sonitone system, the simple and convenient electronics bring out the Warwick acoustic bass's tone with authority. The Fishman Sonicore under-saddle pickup is made with a unique co-polymer sensing material available exclusively from Fishman. This material provides excellent acoustic reproduction. The bass pickup senses the motion of the entire saddle, providing excellent string-to-string balance. The pickup's small size and convenient under-the-saddle design helps preserve both the aesthetic and structural integrity of the Warwick acoustic bass. The Sonitone system consists of a discreet and cleverly designed soundhole-mounted preamp with rotary controls for Volume and Tone.

Even without amplification, the basic character is evident; a growling tone across the acoustic bass's full range with a big bottom. Unlike all other Warwick basses, the Rockbass Alien is not manufactured in Germany. Built in Vietnam to Warwick's exacting specifications, the structural design, attention to detail, and resulting tone speaks for itself.
