Peerless Contessa arch top guitar, solid carved spruce top, modified and upgraded.
Absolutely beautiful 16" archtop guitar with solid, carved, spruce top, maple back and sides, maple neck, ebony fingerboard.
I have converted the guitar to be purely acoustic, at which it excels. I have removed the floating Kent Armstong pickup and original finger-rest and replaced the finger-rest with a solid ebony Benedetto piece. I have also replaced the machine heads with Gotoh 510 21:1 ratio locking models which are fantastic and suit the guitar perfectly.
The original wiring loom, finger-rest and pickup are supplied and it would be simple to re-convert the guitar if you wanted.
It's strung with flat-wound 10's, the action and tone are wonderful, it's a really special instrument with flawless build quality.
It comes with a custom fitted Peerless hard case.
These are extremely hard instruments to find, there isn't a better solid top archtop guitar in this price range, new price is approx £1,700
