Gibson Master Model A5G signed December 17, 1990 by Steve Carlson in Bozeman, MT. during the halcyon days of Steve Carlson and Bruce Weber. Nicely flamed Red Maple back, evenly grained spruce top with tone bar bracing. Lots of wear from lots of playing. No structural damage. Frets have wear, but plays like butter. Signature V shaped Gibson neck, 1 1/16 nut. This instrument is feather light and delivers super responsive ringing bell tones and strong bass that begs either the lightest single note picking or hard driving woody bluegrass chop. Distinctly Gibson in tone and playability. Killer sound. I just don’t play enough mandolin to justify having such a nice one. Comes with original case.
