Fender Telecaster Blackout HH Special Edition Series 2004 Atlantic Blue Metallic RARE! w/HSC

Sorry, this listing has ended.

This is one of the most unique Telecasters you have ever seen.  To begin with, the color (Atlantic Metallic Blue) has only been used once.  It was during the 18 months this guitar and its sister Strat were made in Korea.  This is the only Tele ever made in this color, and there are no plans for another.  The pickups are Seymore Duncans humbuckers, and the coils can be split by raising the volume knob.  Further, the tone knob doesn't just adjust the treble, but also boosts and lowers the bass with a Fender TBX Tone Control.  This guitar was manufactured for eighteen months

Regarding the condition, it is virtually new, but set up.  There is not one flaw.  It was in an unopened box for almost ten years.  You can still see some of the manufacturer's clear-tape that has not been removed from a few of the tuners.  I mistakenly removed clear-tape covering the pickups when I first opened it a few months ago. Also, note that the snowflake 'inlays' on the fretboard in some photos are decals.  The genuine inlays are side dots.

It comes with a new Gator hard case with two large compartments.  All hings and latches work perfectly.  Comes with original locking key.

Here is information  sent to me by Fender:

"[This is] the only Telecaster ever made in this color.  The only other Atlantic Blue Metallic is a sister Blackout model Strat made at the same time.  These are the only two guitars that we have made in this specific color."  This email comes with the guitar.
