Welcome to Musicdungeon. This is the '11 Gibson Custom Shop USA ES335 Bird's Eye Electric Guitar. 25.75" scale. 1 11/16" nut width. 16 3/16" bottom bout. 1.75" deep. 8.6 lbs. As you can see from the pics, this is an absolute stunner- the top, back, and sides are adorned with gorgeous bird's eye figuring. The semi-hollow maple enables all of your favorite 335 tones- from warm neck cleans to sweet overdriven tones. Dual '57 Classic humbuckers sit in the center block allowing this 335 to transcend genre. The '57 Classics faithfully reproduce the sought after 'PAF' tone. Add some gain and these beauties open up with complex mids. The bridge position brings chunky rhythms and 3 dimensional mid-cutting leads. The neck pickup sits over the long neck tenon bringing those incredible seemingly endless sustains. A true tone machine. The mahogany neck has one of the thinnest I've ever seen on a Gibson- just .80" deep at the 5th fret. Add to that the 12" fretboard radius and you have an expression machine in your hands. The look here is absolutely astounding- as beautiful as this looks in pics, it's even better in person. Bird's eye top/back/sides, bound body, bound fingerboard, and chrome hardware. The Gibson is in excellent overall condition- there is a professional headstock repair(pic) with typically creased headstock overlay. The repair is very strong- doesn't affect the guitar's performance whatsoever. Nothing else to report. The frets are clean- just professionally set up with action of just 3/32" at the 12th fret. This auction includes the original hardshell case, COA, and uninstalled pickguard(still has the protective paper on it).
