I am retiring from the music biz (and
guitar refinishing) and selling most of my personal collection. This is another
prized possession. A 1984 Spy vs. Spy Hamer USA Blitz with the 3x3 headstock.
Hamer only produced these 3x3 headstock guitars from 1982 – 1984. This Blitz is
a one-of-a-kind show piece. You will not find another one like it anywhere.
This guitar is 100% stock except for
the paint. I always wanted a Spy vs. Spy themed guitar and I’ve always loved
the 82-84 Hamer Blitz. The Blitz or Explorer body is the only body with enough
real estate to do this scene justice. This guitar was airbrushed by Bruce
Rosier (hotairbrush.com) and professionally refinished and clearcoated with a high-grade
poly at my refinishing shop. The back was a little bonus piece Bruce painted
for me because he liked it.
Details:
Neck: Mahogany - Thin and fast.
Possibly the fastest neck I’ve ever played for rock.
Pickups: Stock Hamer/Seymour Duncan Slammer pickups. “Slammers”
by Hamer.
Body: Solid mahogany. It is thick and
chunky sounding. Along with those hot pickups and fast neck, that makes for one
killer guitar.
Pots and electronics: Stock
Knobs: Stock black hats
Tremelo: Stock Hamer – Chrome
Tuning Pegs: Stock Hamer - Chrome
Case:
Original with original paperwork.
The
paint is in amazing condition. No chips, dings, scratches. I made this guitar
as an art piece for my wall. It has never been gigged.
This is
a great playing guitar that you can pretty much take anywhere and turn heads. It is extremely well made and definitely doesn’t
look like a 35 year old guitar.
If you’d
like specific photos of the guitar that I haven’t posted, please let me know
and I will gladly take and post them.
