Vintage 1960's Sound Projects/Lectrolab R200B!
1x8 All Tube 8 Watt Amp!

This is really cool. You are looking at a Vintage 1960's Sound Projects / Lectrolab R200B Tube Amp. Very Unique One-Of-A-Kind Amp. A former owner stripped off the tolex to bare wood and inserted 3 Western Pictures on the Top and Sides of the Cabinet. The Top has an ad for Cigars, while the 2 sides have pictures of Cowboys playing guitars. The Speaker has been upgraded to a modern Quam 8" Ceramic Speaker. Other than the speaker, the amp seems to be all original.

This is a great, low-power handmade vintage USA amp in great condition. Superb example of the Lectrolab R200B.  

Lectrolab is a very old and interesting company from Cicero, Illinois, and they made amps for other manufacturers that put their own labels on them, such as Harmony, Pentron and others.

Lectrolabs have great, organic-sounding circuits with nice breakup at a low volume. Perfect for recording...Breaks up very early.

Lectrolab R200 =2-12BF6; 1-50L6; 1-35Z5

• 2 Inputs, one Volume, one Tone control.
• The filaments in these tubes are powered by 25 to 50 volts AC. This is in contrast to almost all modern amps which use 6.3 volts.
• 50L6 is the power amp tube, capable of 4 to 8 watts depending on the circuit. Without knowing the transformer specs, or measuring an example, we can’t state with certainty what the R200 output is.
• 35Z5 is the rectifier.

Cosmetics: Excellent Condition. Keep in mind that this is a 59+ year old vintage cabinet that has been used. There are some scuffs, scratches and minor tears in the cabinet. Dripping with "Mojo". It is used. Not perfect. Overall, a really nice amp. Better than normal wear and tear. Look at the pictures closely. They will tell the story.
