Rare 1930's Archtop by USA maker Columbian,

This is the mid range 'Freshman Model' and for the age is in superb cosmetic condition.

The structure requires standard maintenance that perhaps would be expected of an 80 year old guitar!

I guess this guitar has languished unplayed for the best part of 30 years.

Works required to restore playability

- Neck reset + possible partial re-fret as a result

- One back brace is loose, if you are have houdini like skills then you could attempt this by working through the f holes, yet for ordinary mortals this is a back removal job to start the work proper

Original case included in sale, missing a handle, hardware tarnished, otherwise complete and serviceable

Our professional opinion is that this guitar will restore very well and have tried to leave you some profit there if that is your concern, otherwise you have a great piece of guitar making history.
