About This Listing

super rare and one of a kind!
inspired by the Fenderbird of  John Enwistle from the who, here is a vintage Greco bass ( earlier model) turned to one of his favourite instruments.
i started from a Greco thunderbird custom color black with one pickup  bought long time ago on Ebay and now extremly hard to find...
(i still got the original neck for the one who wants to have it) then i started my project...
i bought an all parts licensed by Fender mapple neck new and perfectly fonctional (no buzz, no dead sone), i removed the original one, the bridge was also changed for an Omega bass (much more precise) and replaced the pickup who was too microphonic, by a thunderbucker at who does the best handmade reissue of the market.
the result is just incredible!
look is crazy! no one is going to have the same as the model is now unique!
super lightweight, easy to play, lot of growl, super punchy and precise.
fantastic for any kind of heavy rock, stoner, grunge, doom etc... the neck (even is the decal says jazz bass), is clother at my opinion than a precision bass: a bit chunky, but super resonant with lot of sustain.
of course, all those modifications have been made by a luthier really famous luthier in Paris:
comes with a gig bag and will be double boxed.
