The Hofner President Brunette is a vintage acoustic guitar made in Germany in 1963. It is in great condition for a vintage guitar and has clearly been well looked after. There is some checking in the finish which is common place in older guitars, and it looks absolutely amazing, with several manufactures charging high tariffs on replicating this effect on new guitars. The previous owner has set the guitar up with flatwounds making it perfect for Jazz players.
It features a laminated Spruce Top and a Flames Maple Back and Sides, with a Rosewood Fingerboard attached to a 5-piece Maple/Mahogany Neck. The Tailpiece is a “Lyre” style and the bridge is a two piece, with vertical adjustment.
