What's the deal with refurbished?

This instrument is stamped "used" on the back of the headstock and given a new serial number by the manufacturer-authorized refurbisher. Why? It was deemed to have a cosmetic imperfection or to need a repair. Check the description to see exactly why this instrument is considered refurbished. We scrutinize every instrument and pass along all information from the refurbisher so that you know exactly what you are getting. These are like new with little or zero play wear!

U.S.-designed Paramount series acoustic instruments are finely crafted and specially voiced to bring your artistic vision to life. Each all-solid guitar offers many legacy design elements of classic '60s models, including checkerboard purfling and rosette, pickguard shape and abalone and mother-of-pearl "Concert Tone" fingerboard inlays. Even with this art deco look, Paramount instruments still retain their footing in modern design. All-new Fender- and Fishman®-designed PM preamp systems are specifically voiced for each body shape in the series, ensuring complete tonal control and variation.

This particular guitar has a small amount of exposed glue or adhesive from the factory showing along the fretboard/body joint.​​​​​​​ This is very minor and we have included close-up photos. Aside from what we have described, this instrument is in mint condition.

How Does It Play?

We have given this guitar a thorough professional setup to make sure it is 100% ready to go with low action and easy playability. Fender has really done an excellent job delivering the sought-after intimate tone of a parlor body without lacking at all in volume, warmth or dynamic range. And when you do find yourself in need of a little extra punch, the Fishman pickup and Fender/Fishman co-designed preamp pair perfectly to ensure that the true acoustic tone of the instrument rings true when amplified.

The original Fender Deluxe Hardshell Case pictured is included. Two of the hinge rivets on the back were missing, and we have replaced them with matching gold screws. You probably wouldn't even notice if we didn't point it out, and the case functions exactly as new.
