2001 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe - Pete Townshend #5 Tribute
Not one of the $9,000 Gibson PT tribute signature models from 2005, but a 2001 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Reissue which I had modified to emulate one of my favorite guitar player's most iconic stage instruments.
"In 2005, Gibson issued three Pete Townshend-signature edition Les Paul Deluxe guitars, based on his #1 Wine Red Les Paul Deluxe, his #3 Gold Top and his #9 Cherry Sunburst (all 1976)."
But they didn't make a #5. That's where I came in.
All work was performed by a former Gibson Custom Shop craftsman (now operating his own shop in Nashville) using genuine Gibson and some handmade parts.
