About This Listing

An extremely rare and great 1/2 rack digital synth designed to faithfully emulate classic analog sounds. To get a feel for what this can do, just listen to the following mp3 of the amazing string sounds you can get! synthmania.com/Akai SG01v/Audio/Bank_01/060_TOMITA_STR.mp3
Cosmetically, it is in good shape. I've added some pictures to detail the scratches that exist which are quite unnoticeable thanks to AKAI designers.

The attached video also shows a large number of cool sounds this synth can produce. I am simplifying my setup, so I have decided to sell this prized instrument. Hearing the video again , there are some sounds I don't remember auditioning. I don't remember playing around with Kraftwerk Zaps, for instance... but I do remember most of the sounds highlighted in the video, and I'm sure this unit can be programmed to make them all.

It will come expertly packed, with a 10.96V power adapter (as measured) that I repurposed for it which works fine (10V is called for, but 10% more voltage is not that much more and I have found this adapter to work great).
The package will be insured and sent via signature delivery.
