About This Listing

  • Aria Vintage Archtop PE 190  was a Robert Conti model back in 79'  Made in Japan.
Had a number of offers on this guitar - not sure why not showing - have 20 Messages - some offers. Anyway I liked it so much I just kept raising the price!!  Very cool instrument.

Great playing guitar - used on many gigs playing before many known bands. In this video we were playing before Jimmy Herring and Band and John McLaughlin and Band -  Nov 2017. Love this guitar and only selling if I get enough to buy another guitar and other gear I need.

Big guitar - like a Super 400. Very thick top - so much less prone to feedback - which I like. Plus acoustically very loud and resonant. The Japanese guitars of this period - Ibanez, Aria, Greco,  have owned at least a dozen.  Fantastic instruments. Still have my Ibanez 2460 (L5 copy)- but mostly play a Heritage 335 these days and a Galloup guitar built by Bryan Galloup.

Very heavy binding deterioration in a number of areas. I never bothered repairing as it didn't affect playability. Previous owner had sanded off finish upper back of neck - apparently did that with all his guitars get a better feel on the neck I guess. Never noticed anything about it - cause my hand doesn't go there - and I play all the way up the neck. it's just missing finish. Comes with hardshell case.
