This is a hand built distortion/overdrive pedal that's based on the classic Marshall Guv'nor/Drivemaster circuit. If you aren't aware of it, the Guv'nor was at least one of the first, if not the first "amp-in-a-box" pedal, designed to emulate a classic Marshall amp tone. The Drivemaster is a later version of the Guv'nor that left out the built-in effects loop that the Guv'nor had. Otherwise, the circuit is the same.

It was built from a Fuzzdog Guv pcb. I got this as a used pedal, did a little work to it, and I'm offering it for sale. It has a few scratches and chips, but it's fully functional and was made using good quality components.

I have a vintage, made in the UK Drivemaster that I've compared it to, and it's very close. Plus, the mini toggle switch can select silicon diodes instead of the red LEDs like the original has, for a more compressed, more distorted tone.

It's in a 1590b enclosure, which is slightly smaller than a standard Boss enclosure, and much smaller than the original Marshall pedal. So it's much more pedalboard-friendly. I've included a picture for comparison. PLEASE NOTE- the picture is for comparison ONLY. The Boss pedal and the vintage Drivemaster are NOT included.

No power supply is included, but it it works with a standard Boss-style, center negative power supply. Sorry, no room for a battery inside this one. It's external power only.

Since this is a used pedal, it is listed "as-is", and there are no returns unless I have misrepresented something.

Thanks for looking!
