And before you ask...the skate wheel is your main fuzz control! It's not there just to look awesome. Turn it to blend your perfect fuzzy tone, from a light tickling fuzz to a roaring velcro vortex that turns all the heads. May we suggest turning it with your foot while playing? Working in Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa, Skateistan has over 2,500 active students, more than a half of which are girls. To get this project done, the Skateistan crew flew hundreds of pounds of decks back to Europe to the Tone for Change workshop, where we cut them and fitted on the enclosure of our incredible fuzz pedal.
Because of each skate deck’s unique history, no two pedals are alike. Some have colors left on them and some are straight up rugged, original scraped wood. Before going in the production, we kept all of the original art, bruises and battlescars that come from children having a blast with them, learning to love skateboarding and experiencing the joy of self-expression at their Skateistan school.
A used skatedeck is a beautiful, well-loved skatedeck and each of these unique pedals stands testament to its incredible journey.
Each skate deck is fitted it with a skateboard wheel, making it easy to control with your foot while playing. Each pedal is made in our custom shop in Prague, Czech Republic and guitar-tested straight off the production line.
Because this is a pro-charity project, the pedal goes into production once pre-order is complete. Expect lead times of 8-12 weeks (we will keep you posted along the way).

An ultra-versatile fuzz, great for riffing and high-energy soloing The Skateistan pedal is a fuzz effect inspired by skateboarding subculture. Creative freedom defines the pedal, with controls that let you experiment and make the tone you own. It is an alternative use of distortion with mosfet stage for tube-like warmth. The tone evokes grunge and stoner rock with its characteristic sound: toothy, fuzzy, sharp and dry.
The pedal pairs excellently with octavers and stacks beautifully, though it can hold its own as your main pedal. Plays nice with your favorite guitar, a clean channel on your amp and skate shoes.
CONTROLS 1. Sustain sets the amount of distortion and compression. Use as much distortion as you need, with lower settings best suited for chords and rhythm playing. Higher settings are perfect for soloing. 2. Tone takes care of your equalization. Turning it counter-clockwise kicks in a low pass filter, which attenuates lows and takes the highs. Turned fully clockwise, the Tone becomes a hi-pass filter, cutting the lows and letting your highs dominate. 3. Body affects the higher settings of your Tone knob, filling the tone with warm mids and making your tone fatter. Tweak your Body setting to stand out in the mix with added mid-range. 4. Volume controls the volume of the pedal (but you already knew that). Let’s prove that great tone can change the world and help Skateistan build more schools for children in need!
