Danelectro 3021 Vintage 1959-1962 Jimmy Page Model

We recently acquired two vintage Danelectro 3021 guitars, both early 1959-1962 models like the one made famous by Jimmy Page.  Crafted in Neptune New Jersey this guitar is the real deal.

Vintage Danelectro guitars have been a popular choice among musicians for more than half a century.  Although they stopped production in 1969, they remain as sought after as ever (if not more) for their classic timeless tone.

This 3021 is an excellent example of this guitar.  Its an early pre-skate key tuner version.  The features of this particular one date it between 1959-1962.  It has the big "seal" pick guard introduced in '59, three neck bolts in a line which stopped in '63 and no tilt adjust which was introduced in '63.

The guitar has been well cared for and is in very nice condition especially for it’s age.  The body has been refinished in a gloss black and looks great.  Neck has original worn finish as you can see in the pictures.  Side tape/binding vinyl appears to have been replaced as it looks new, possibly just cleaned very well but it shows no wear or yellowing.  Includes a nice hard shell case in almost new condition.

If you are looking for a clean Dano that reaches the same sonic territory as Jimmy Page this one is it.
