Up for sale is this 2005 Parker Fly Bronze (a.k.a. Concert) Acoustic Electric Guitar. 100% original. The body is Sitka Spruce, the neck is Basswood, and it has a Maple Veneer finish on the top in a rare finish that Parker Guitars called “Maple Cognac”. Like most Parker Fly guitars, these photos show that this guitar's finish looks different in bright light and low light, and, in my opinion, looks great in both. Original Parker Guitars hardshell case included.

It’s a great sounding guitar in very good condition. It has one major ding in the finish (last pictures), which 1) appears to be in the finish and slightly dented into the wood and 2) has no impact on sound or playability. There are small scuffs here and there as you'd expect from an instrument this age, but nothing is obviously damaged. There is no fretboard lifting or major paint chipping in other areas. Currently set up with 11 phosphor bronze strings.

If you’re unfamiliar with these guitars, this is an extremely lightweight instrument with no magnetic pickups; the piezo elements are under the saddles and are connected to an internal Fishman preamp. The knobs are volume and a dual-concentrically stacked two-band tone knob. The instrument has a carbon fiber reinforced neck (under the finish) that covers the entire back of the neck and extends down a few inches onto the body. The fretboard is a carbon fiber and fiberglass composite with 24 stainless steel frets. The frets show no wear and show no signs of lifting.

I’m not the original owner. When I first strung up the guitar, I had it tuned down a whole-step and I heard a slight ground hum when I touched the G string, but when I tuned up to E standard, the ground hum was gone. I believe the hum originated because there wasn’t enough tension on one of the saddles, but I don’t know and that’s why I’m disclosing it. There is no hum now, but I’m selling this instrument as is.
