Finish is excellent on the back of neck and body, very little to no hand wear on neck, Frets show very little to no wear.Brand new natural skin head just installed, also new strings. Fingerboard etching on the fret board is still visible and in really good condition, Banjo shows little signs of wear and has been kept in a closet for over 50 years in its case. No chips out of the wood at all! No pitting at all. Considering the age i would consider this banjo to be in near mint condition. There are seam openings of various types on the bottom side of the back of the resonator where it meets the sides, resonator has little separation near heal of neck .
The inlay around the edge resonator is worn please view last 2 photos as this is the most significant defect. Does have key
