Very Rare 1965 Mosrite Ventures Vibramute in Custom Color Sparkle Sunburst & Original Hardshell Case

This is a 1965 Mosrite Ventures model Vibramute, SN# 1973, in custom sparkle sunburst. The story behind the custom color guitars, i.e., the most sought-after models, is one for the books. Their demand and valuation humored former employees of Semie's when they were interviewed for the book "Vintage Mosrite". Custom guitars were born when Semie would send them out to collect any good pieces of wood they could find. The wood was then bound and built. These guitars HAD to be finished as custom color Mosrites to cover their patchwork build. Another special feature of this piece is that it has the VERY rare non-trademarked Mosrite pickups. The Mosrite Vibramute tailpiece is sandcasted as well. The guitar is in very good condition. There is some chipping in the paint in the body where the neck sits but has cleaned up rather well. The guitar weighs approx. 7lbs 8oz with a nut width of approx. 39.5mm and a fretboard radius of 10". Comes with its original brown gator hardshell case.
