This is a beautiful Craviotto 5x14 Private Reserve snare drum in Padauk. 45/45 edges. Beautiful natural color and excellent sound.

Padauk is a bright orange, Vermillion, or almost crimson wood with a vanilla-like scent when freshly cut, but oxidizes to a darker, rich purple-brown over time - although it stays redder than Indian Rosewood. Padauk is a dense and unique hardwood from Africa. Over time, it slowly ages to a purple/brownish Rosewood color. Slightly harder and heavier than Indian Rosewood. Padauk is an excellent replacement for Rosewood, which has severely limited availability due to inclusion on the CITES list for protected species. Slightly harder and heavier than Indian Rosewood, it has a strong punchy tone. It can be difficult to bend as a solid steam bent board, but worth the effort.

It is a "musical wood" that is rich in overtones and produces a robust and deeper sound. Think somewhere between maple and mahogany.
