The L.D. Heater Music Company was a family-owned US musical instrument company in Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. They operated from 1918 to 1984 and sold a wide range of instruments. Large music stores, like L.D. Heater Music Company, would sometimes produce their own catalogs, which contained pages from brands whose instruments they sold.
This particular catalog is from 1956 and includes many, many catalogs! We photographed some of the highlights (including the very rare Gibson dealer displays) and will update the full list of brands in the next few days. It's at least a few hundred pages!
It would take a long time to gather all of the catalogs and price lists that are shown in here from individual companies. It's truly an amazing piece and is a great reference guide for what musical instrument companies were producing in 1956.
