Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting..

A really cool 1960’s Silvertone 1450 Guitar. At first I thought this was one of the amp in case guitars. I was corrected by a Silvertone expert that said this guitar was offered in 1965 in the Sears Wish Book. Its very RARE!!… This one is in extremely good shape. Only some finish coming off on the lower back..see pic 9..I am selling this one with a Brand new Silvertone Branded Gigbag..check those pics!

Be sure to check out our Video Demo of this awesome vintage guitar!

The guitar plays great with an awesome Pro Setup with low easy to play action. The Danelectro Lipstick Pickups sound large and in charge. They are very strong. The guitar has very little wear on it except on the lower back..see pics. The Silvertone logo is just as bright on the Headstock as the day it was on the Sears Sales Floor…

Here is some info on these cool guitar outfits from a respected Website…

The 1450 guitar was the predecessor (and then 'invisible sibling') to the ampincase 1452 axe, but it had some distinct differences that separate it from the very last two-pickup Danelectro-built Silvertone guitar made. A four-ply faux tortoise pickguard, no model stamping on the back of the headstock, and no chrome bezel rings around the pickups. Also, the 1450 sported several neck attach arrangements; going from a two-screw, to a staggered three, and finally to the triangular plate-fitted three-screw attach that these end-of-the-Dano-line guitars (along with the 1451) were spec'd with.

Catalog Introduction:
Wish Book 1965

Still available well into 1967 according to Sears ads of that year.

Often mis-identified as a 1452 without its ampcase, the 1450 was a rare bird, only 'officially' listed in one Sears catalog, but we're also fortunate to have a seasonal newspaper ad from late 1967. That one ad lets us surmise a much longer 'life' than previously believed.

The frets are hardly used on this guitar. It will give you years of playing pleasure. All original and setup to play right out of the box. You will love this cool 1960’s Silvertone Guitar!

Sold as-is as it is both vintage and used but…I have been hand picking vintage guitars for my customers for over 16 years now. They have all loved their instruments I find. This cool guitar and amp will not be an exception. The lucky buyer is to pay fixed shipping of $38 for the lower 48. All others please ask.

Thanks for checking out my cool instruments and gear here on Reverb.com
