Vintage Lafayette LR-5555A am/fm stereo receiver - Serviced!

Made in Japan aluminum silver face receivers with wood side panels. 55 watts per channel at 8 ohms supporting loads down to 4 ohms. A, B and C speakers. 4 analog audio inputs (including phono with high and low sensitivity) plus 2 tape monitors and a front panel microphone input with level control. Signal strength and tuning meters. High filter, 3 band equalizer (nice!0 with tone defeat. Loudness and audio muting. Some edge wear of the wood panels but a nice looking vintage piece with plenty of power and warm sound.

Service work performed on stereo equipment before selling includes:

Internal dust removed.
Visual inspection of boards for signs of overheat or component failures and replaced as necessary.
Visual inspection of solder joints for cracking and cold joints and reflowed as necessary.
Main power caps checked for proper capacitance and ESR values and replaced as necessary.
Potentiometers switches sliders jacks all cleaned and lubricated with Deoxit.
Inspection of ALL lamp. Replaced as necessary even if still working but too weak to provide even lighting.
Exterior cleaning including knobs and buttons sanitized.
