For sale is a prototype Daylighter DB built for Will Boggs, who made the tapped pickups for this instrument. The 21st Daylighter built by Doug Kauer, it's a pretty amazing instrument. Honduras mahogany back, ambrosia maple top and nitro gold finish give it a great vintage vibe, but this guitar is it's own animal! Extremely resonant when played unplugged, has a very unique voice through an amp, the tapped pickups using the mini switches between the volume and tone controls give many more options and combinations than your average two humbucker guitar. '58'ish neck profile, so pretty chunky, plays great up and down the neck. Has a slight neck twist that has been compensated for with a custom cut bone nut and plecked for good measure (all documentation included) intonation is perfect and this thing really shines through my Schroeder DB7! Comes with a Gator cases soft case that protects it extremely well, own a piece of Kauer history.
