This Vintage 1964 Gibson EB-0 was extensively modified in the 1980s. It is not for collecting, but for
playing:
- It was refinished with a luscious, deep cherry brown.
- The frets above the 12th were removed, making it adventurously fretless on the high end.
- The bridge was replaced, and now has individual string adjustments.
- A second pickup was added, and itself was recently replaced with a DiMarzio DP148 Ultra Jazz bridge pickup.
- A switch and third knob were added for pickup control. The original knobs were also replaced.
- The metal palm rest, plastic finger grip, and truss rod cover were removed (and are missing).
The original humbucker pickup and tuning keys remain.
The short scale (30.5") is perfect for guitarists.
The original case is long gone, replaced with an included brand new fitted Epiphone case (pictured).
