1967 Gibson B-25N w/ L.R. Baggs M1 Active Pickup

1967 Gibson B-25N with a soundhole L.R. Baggs M1 Active Pickup installed. This guitar is in great overall shape showing light wear and weather checking with beautiful light lacquer cracks across top, back and sides. All in original condition except for the infamous plastic bridge and the adjustable saddle that has been objet os discussion between purists for ages. On this one it was replaced by a more reliable rosewood bridge and saddle, improving tone and sustain. Action is low and comfortable and can be easily set up as truss rod and adjustable bridge are both working smoothly. Includes non Gibson hardshell case.

The L.R. Baggs M1 Active Pickup is already installed and included in the price.

1967 Gibson B-25N specs:

• Spruce top
• Mahogany neck, back and sides
• Rosewood fingerboard, bridge nd saddle
• 14 frets clear of the body, dot inlays, 3-on-a-plate tuners. The scale length is 24 3/4", the lower bout (body width) is 14 1/4", the body length is 19 1/4", and the body depth is 4 1/2"

Gibson introduced the B series and the B-25 in the early '60s as a student-to-mid-level acoustic option. Most B-25s have a sunburst or cherry sunburst finish, but the model was also produced with a natural top as the B-25N.

The Gibson B series was made between 1961 and 1979 and was the new name, with a number of changer, for the LG series. The B-25N succeeded the LG-3 in the early 1960's. There some miner changes between the B-25N and LG-3, typical of all Gibson flat-tops in and around 1963. The pickguard was thickened and no longer made of celluloid, the bolted-on plastic bridge with ceramic adjustable saddle became the norm, bridge plates started being made of thicker maple plywood, and the necks became smaller.
